The manual control system of glass grinding mills was prone to human error and required constant staffing, reducing operational efficiency and increasing costs. Akcoat’s request was to automate this system, making it more efficient and sustainable.
Our Solutıon: Automated Control and HMI Integratıon
To address the challenges caused by manual control, Mirok designed a fully automated control system using PLC controls with HMI integration for the glass mills. This system enables the automatic monitoring and control of the mills. Additionally, motor drivers and control panels were integrated to optimize energy consumption according to demand. This solution not only improved flexibility but also made energy usage more efficient.
Project Outcome: Increased Effıcıency and Reduced Costs
With the automation of the system, the need for personnel and human error were completely eliminated. Continuous monitoring and real-time adjustments became possible, improving operational control. Additionally, energy consumption was optimized, resulting in significant reductions in both labor and energy costs. As a result, the glass grinding mills now operate more efficiently and cost-effectively.
